Money Making Ventures Online
January 7th, 2010
Can money be made in the internet? We see ads everyday of people striking it big by creating their own sites or selling their sites to big companies. However, since not all of us own websites like YouTube or Google, what are other ways that have the potential of making some serious cash via cyberspace?
One of the easiest ways of earning some cash is to start blogging. It may seem foolish to some people, but blogs can be monetized and best of all, starting blogs are free. Websites like Wordpress or Blogspot are famous hangouts of bloggers pro and novices alike. It is a place to tell your story, share your expertise or just rant and rave about anything under the sun. Setting up accounts usually just requires an email and there are features that can customize your site to give it a more personal feel.
Speaking of writing, you can make your own money by selling your content to website owners, people who want to start websites and other people who need content. These articles usually differ in topic and length depending on the client’s requirements. The rates will also differ. Some established writes will probably charge more compared to those who are just starting, but if you have a way with words and have time on your hand, then selling your articles online is a good way to earn some cash.
Aside from selling articles, you can also sell stuff online. Sites like ebay are famous worldwide for being cyberspace’s equivalent of a shopping mall. Almost everything can be found on ebay. Its like a virtual storefront that is open 24/7. Not only that, it is one of the busiest sites in cyberspace, guaranteeing merchants everywhere a sizeable audience.
Another thing to sell is photos. People are always looking for photos for presentation, for their website or for other purposes. You don’t have to be a professional photographer to take pictures since people search for photos by keywords and not through photographers. Sites like iStockphoto and Fotolia make their money this way, and so can you. So if you can take decent photographs, check this out.
If you already have a website, one way of increasing your site’s value and at the same time making some dough is to sell other people’s products. There are several ways of doing this. You can either designate a small area on your website where you can put another site’s banner that leads them to the seller’s page or you can put banners in your blogs linking also linking to the seller’s page. Either way, you earn money by referring customers to them. Or if you have a mailing list, you can direct traffic to the seller’s website by including your links to your newsletter. Just make sure that you don’t spam as this is a frowned upon marketing method.
There are other ways of making money online. The above stated methods are probably some of the easiest as they do not require any hard selling on your part, plus these usually require zero cash out on your part. Just internet time, a PC and talent.
